I have years of experience teaching and tutoring English as a second language, both in the U.S. and overseas. My students have included high school students, community college students, university and postgraduate students, and working professionals of all ages. I have taught speakers of Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Arabic, Farsi and Turkish. I am also an experienced tutor in law, having taught both law and paralegal students in substantive law, legal writing, test taking skills, and LSAT preparation. I also work with business students who are taking business law and business ethics classes.

As a ski instructor, I've worked with children aged 3 - 12. Parents frequently praised my patience and ability to remain a calm, controlled and enthusiastic teacher. I believe in maintaining open lines of communication and that a good teacher must always remain receptive to his student's needs and interests. A Little Bit About Me...

Having been fortunate enough to have a number of extremely high-caliber teachers, I have learned that in order to teach one must be willing to learn; to learn not just the curriculum to be taught, but to learn about, and from, the pupil. From the 5th grade level all the way up through degreed professionals, I have made it a point to be a student of my students; to engage them in a manner that shows that I understand and care about their needs, and to help them feel that they are an integral part of their own learning process, as well as mine.
