My comments on tutoring Painting : Studied color theory, design, and scene painting for theater. Worked with oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, pastel and experimented medium (nail polish). I prefer to worked with less fumed or messy materials for safety.

My education involve intensive studies in both the fine arts and theater. I went from basic drawing and design, to painting, building models, to paintings set for theater. I worked in 10 productions for Subversive Theater Collective and was a volunteer coordinator for an arts festival while living in Buffalo. I enjoy working with students of all ages. The great thing about tutoring is that instead of focusing on the needs of an entire class, the tutor can focus on the needs of one individual student. One thing I believe in with my teaching is to use a three prong method. Some students are visual learners, some are textual learners, and some are audio learners. Because of that, with anything I teach I have it written in text form, explain it verbally, and demonstrate it visually so that the student can have the best opportunity to grasp the information their way.
