I have been involved in teaching chemistry and mathematics throughout my entire time as a graduate student and the last portion of my undergraduate studies. My mathematics teaching skills range from basic algebra through multivariable calculus, whereas I am experienced in teaching at all levels of general and organic chemistry. My teaching experience is very diverse. During my appointments as a teaching assistant and tutor I have worked with students of every demographic, learning style, and education level. I am very effective at teaching complex subjects and making them easier to grasp for all students. My personal teaching philosophy is that there is no teaching without learning. Most classroom studies are at least partly removed from their intended application, for reasons of assuring comprehensive competency and because of the educational structure, i.e. attending school comes in advance of and separately from applying one’s knowledge.
