My comments on tutoring SAT - Math : I specialize in math and science preparation. The first thing I do is find out the strong/weak areas of the student and focus on the areas that need the most improvement. I also use sample tests and test questions.

-High school science teacher for 2 years. -Tutor for 5 years (1.5 years were full-time at an alternatve school and the rest has been with multiple students at a variety of locations). -Summer science camp working with elementary students for 2 consecutive years. -Volunteer work at multiple schools. -Helping my own kids succeed in their education.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a certified teacher with masters degree in Mathematics from Central Michigan University. My bachelors degree is in secondary education with major in Mathematics and minor in Psychology. As a graduate assistant in CMU, I have taught College Algebra and Intermediate Algebra courses for two years. I have also worked at Sylvan Learning Center as a MATH/ACT instructor and taught as an ACT prep workshop instructor at Saginaw valley State University. Besides I have tutored groups of students who needed help with different areas of Math or ACT testing for more than 8 years.

During my undergraduate studies I tutored at Delta College's Teaching/Learning Center for almost 2 years. While working there I received an award for Tutor of the Year. Delta College being a community college with a wide range of students I have worked with students of all ages and backgrounds. I focused mainly in the areas of Mathematics and Computer Science.
