My teaching style would be that of Guided Discovery. This is a highly interactive style which leads the student to uncover the answer themselves as opposed to the teacher simply reciting the answer to them. Guided Discovery requires the student to learn by doing therefore developing necessary problem solving and deductive skills that will make them better learners and thinkers both now and in the future. I implement this style by asking leading questions, giving examples, making analagies and asking the student what they think or ask them to explain how they came upon a certain conclusion. This ensures that the desired cognitive skills and strategies are being learned.

I am a person who likes to teach one on one. I like to find what the student's interest is and tailor their teaching to that. I believe all children have a gift and an interest that is their inner dream and helping them find that or giving them an opportunity is wonderful. I find great joy in seeing the learning and improvement that can come so quickly when a child is taught on his level. My goal is to give everyone an opportunity or experience that they would not have with out me in their life.
I am a teacher who has learned through experience. I went from college to Kenya to teach in an international school for 2 years. I learned a lot about teaching and culture during that time.
