As a result of studying both journalism and English, I have an extensive background in writing. I have tutored ESL students to learn to read and write in English.
My teaching style involves demonstrating how to understand a problem or perform a task before I ask the student to do so. By facilitating students in such a way, I believe they have a more one-on-one learning experience, as opposed to a strict lecture setting. My goal is to teach a student. This includes presenting material in a way he or she can assimilate it. If the student does not understand the information I present, then I try my best to show him or her practical, real life examples of how to accomplish the task at hand.
As a graduate of Sacred Heart Classical Center, I have taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra II since I left the school in the Spring 2009.
