After earning my Bachelors degree in Education in 1988 I taught GED,ESL,ABE, and advised law students while running the library. I am a life long learner and have taught in prisons,(state and federal)(1988,1997-1999), public schools(1988-2007),private (1992-1998), and home schooled my own son (1992-2000). I have been certified to teach in 6 different states and taught Internationally at a private boarding school(2007-2009). I earned a Masters degree in Organization Management and continued educating myself in a vast array of academic subjects.

I have a wide variety of experience and an innate desire to learn more about the world around me. I began my undergraduate degree in Political Science, but after taking a Biology course in California, became rather excited about the sciences. I have worked in a variety of laboratory settings, as well as in the field, applying the science that I have learned to real life situations and truly gaining a better understanding of the dynamic nature of the sciences. This is what I love. From reading the latest National Geographic to listening to Science Friday on NPR, the never-ending potential of science today excites me and certainly makes me a more dynamic, animated instructor.
