As a graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University in General Science Physics, I have completed extensive coursework in the areas of math, science, and engineering. I am looking to obatin an accelerated teaching certificate and I believe this would be a good start for me. I have completed coursework in upper level biology and physics as well as general chemistry. I have completed math through calculus II. I developed courses for training teachers in the use of New Technologies in Teaching. I worked as a freelance consultant for several schools in Mexico City, Israel and Panama. I have been a full-time teacher for the past three years and substitute taught for one year. The past two years I have taught seventh and eighth grade math and social studies and sixth grade reading. The classes at the school where I teach are ability leveled, I teach the on-level ability students. The students in these classes often need extra help and more time and patience in understanding and mastering concepts. In addition to teaching, I have also tutored students of different ability and grade levels, both after school and during the summer months.
