I enjoy teaching very much. I think a strength trying to use a student's active content or prior knowledge to connect to material. The ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills and team leadership: I meet this qualification in such that it was demonstrated while working with the Los Angeles County Probationary Department as well as working with the youth in my church. I would counsel approximately two students per week and meet with about twenty to thirty on a Thursday evening on a volunteer basis for the Los Angeles County Probation Department. I also had an assistance to work with me and we would work together as a team to help develop these young people lives. Of course, this consisted of me working beyond my normal work hours just to be able to reach that student who felt they were completely a “nobody”, for it was more important to meet the student need rather than my own personal need of just wanting to go home.
