I love science and love to teach! I believe that teaching is an intentional effort. It’s not just about presenting information, but also about motivating. I set high standards, but also emphasize that science can be fun. As a tutor, I will provide a positive environment that focuses on what can be done, not on what can’t. My teaching approach is hand-on and my experience as a consultant provides me with a variety of real-life examples of how science is used and applied. I have a friendly teaching style; I use a lot of sense of humor. But, this takes a lot of hard work to achieve. The reason I am able to teach French grammar in a non-intimidating, almost very relaxing way, is because I had to master it. I have a way of getting closer to my students and to their difficulties by having the ability to relate almost every chapter I introduce to my personal experiences. And, I have anecdotes almost about any new topic I present. I am a story teller in that sense. Sometime my students beg me to tell them more anecdotes. I tell them if they want to hear more stories, they have to do this, or that. And almost always agree with smiles that seem to say “you got us!”
