I graduated from Wheelock College with a double major in Human Development and Elementary Education. Working with children has always been an interest of mine and something I enjoy doing. Over the past six years I have had a variety of experience teaching children of all ages. I have taught third grade, Kindergarten, and Pre-Kindergarten. I love working with and teaching children of all ages. I believe that children learn in a variety of ways and that if you give them time you will find their way so to individualize their learning so they will succeed. I believe all children deserve quality education and that knowledge is power! I have taught for 15 years. I began as a Preschool teacher and did that for four years. I also taught a a Charter School for at risk teens in NJ. I went overseas and taught in South Korea for four and half years, and am currently teaching in schools all over Northern Grafton County as the Education Coordinator for the Support center. I believe I'm quite a good teacher because I'm firmly committed to excellence in academic work, but I don't believe in being pedantic or dreary about it. My own interests are quite broad, and I think I'm quite good at finding ways to make academic subjects relevant and appealing to each student's particular experience and worldview. I'm proud to say that I always receive very positive student evaluations at the end of each semester. Students say that they find me knowledgeable, approachable and open to new ideas, and I try very hard to bring this attitude to every student that I teach.
