My comments on tutoring Algebra I : I have taught this subject at both primary and secondary levels in my school district.

I have worked as a Special Education Instructional Assistant for the past 8 years. I am currently attending school to become a special education teacher. I have experience teaching many different students from various grade levels and have tracked their academic progression. I have ran several reading and math interventions for my school sites for kindergarten through 8th grade.
Interactive modeling of examples, repetition, and simplifying subject matter are key components of my teaching style. Many students have difficulty relating to academic material due the lack being given time to practice example assignments. I also teach universal strategies of how to study material to fully understand assignments.

Algebra I is one of my top subjects! I took Algebra I at Diablo Valley College ,and learned how to solve equations comfortly and confidently.

My teaching style is multi-dimensional, and personally tailored to each specific student. Each student is unique and special. Everyone has a different learning style, which means each person has different need in terms of how they learn. I learn about each student, and take the time to figure out how they take in information. Also how they best understand their course material, and whether their learning style is Visual, Auditory, or Kinesthetic. Perhaps a person's learning style is a combination of these three things. I continously tutor ages k-12, college students and international students. I have been tutoring for five years and enjoy sifting out the difficulties.
