My role as a teacher is one where I facilitate a process of discovery. When a concept is presented in a lesson, it is followed by practice. In my class, there is room for risk-taking, and the mistakes only help to clarify the idea or concept. I approach the teaching of Reading as a Whole Language process, and also as a set of applied skills.
