I taught H.S. chemistry I & II in the Indianapolis area from 2001-2005. Entering college at Western Michigan U, I had plans on becoming a teacher, but went into the analytical research laboratory. I decided to go back and get my teaching license because I have a passion for education. I believe that the learning experience is wonderful and chemistry/science excites me. Sometimes I reflect back and consider how everything I see, touch, and smell is made from the elements on the periodic table. How can that be?

I've always had a passion to teach. Life took me down a few different paths but I've managed to find my way back to teaching. I have 15 years experience in the lab. My educational requirements to be a med tech means I have taken many science and biology classes. I have had oppotunities to subsitute teach at my childrens' school and really enjoyed the experience.

I have a very broad experience in the fields of chemistry and physics. This was attained during my work experience within the Pharmaceutical industry. This has enabled me to gain an intimate knowledge of research methodology, logical approach to problem solving, mathematical relationships, and writing skills as evident in publications and patents. In my early years I have tutored students from High School to University in Calculus, Chemistry, Physics and general earth science and biology.
I recalled my difficulties in learning difficult subjects, my difficulties are not universal but I draw from them in finding what is blocking the student from grasping certain concepts.
