I can teach beginner though intermediate. I opened my own studio in 2003. I teach children through adults on piano, keyboard, flute and voice. I graduated in 2011 with a BA in Music with a minor in Art History. I have gone to workshops with Musikgarten. In 2012 my son graduated from University of Md- Baltimore county with a BA in Music and joined my studio. He teaches violin, viola, steel drum and drums. I believe that anyone can learn regardless of age. I teach from the Thompson series with additional books in Theory. I also use other books other than the series to give experience in the different genres. A brief History of Music is introduced.

I like to incorporate a sense of humor in my teaching - I believe when children can relax they are much more open to learning. I am also sensitive to children's different learning styles whether they are visual, auditory or kinesthetic, and tailor my approach accordingly. No two sessions are ever the same! Each student has unique needs and challenges and my job is to work "through the maze" and carry the message to the brain.
