A Little Bit About Me...

As an advanced student in highschool algebra, my teacher chose me to tutor one struggling athlete and one girl trying to raise her B to an A for acceptance to an Ivy League University. In discovering their different learning styles, I was able to teach my students in a way they understood. Seeing the light in their eyes as they figured out a problem gave me a passion for teaching. Your student is capapble of learning; it is my responsibility to discover their learning style and present the material in a way that he or she understands.
In addition to completing accounting courses for my B.S. in Accounting, I completed two courses in Child Development and Education, and all college level math courses through Calculus. I am a graduate from Georgia College & State University with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. As a chemistry graduate, I am very familiar with the subject. In addition to my own academic achievements, I tutored mathematics and chemistry at Georgia Military College for 3.5 years. My tutoring experience has given me the skills to help students of various backgrounds reach their academic goals.

A Little Bit About Me...

I strive to understand the underlying concepts in every piece of mathematics I do. I wish to inspire a similar understanding in my students by asking questions that provoke them to reach for, and obtain the answer for themselves. Answer keys, or too much help is never beneficial in the long run and math is a requirement for every college degree. It is never too early to start building a strong foundation based on a thorough understanding of core concepts.
