I have worked with children since I was 13. I have worked in settings where I was a daycare worker, a nanny, and a substitute teacher. I worked as the artistic program director of a community based non-profit agency for children ages 3-18. I taught theater and tutored core curriculam to children in the after school program. I also created and conducted literacy and arts training for the resident Americorps Program. I was the director and artist for Wolf Trap Early Arts Learning, which is a program developed to teach early childhood instructors how to use the arts as a vehicle to teach core curriculam. A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of the University of Virginia, I was very dedicated to learning as much as possible. I double majored in Government and Sociology, yet was able to take numerous courses in other areas as well. After earning my undergraduate degree, I decided to pursue graduate school immediately. I was offered Graduate Teaching Assistantships at the University of North Carolina Charlotte.
