I graduated from high school in 2005 and was 12th in my class. Out of high school, I worked as a pre-school teacher with children ages 1-8 years. I attended Ohio University Athens for Speech Therapy for four years and am now finishing my undergraduate degree online. While in college, I took many child development courses and english courses because I find both to be so much fun to learn about. I also took classes in Math 1, Pre-Algebra, Algebra and statistics. I tutored one of the students in my High School in his Algebra class. During the course of the tutoring, his grades on his test progressively increased. His final grade in his class was a "B." While attending college, I applied to become a Peer Tutor at Capital University. I was offered a position as part of the tutoring staff, and over the course of the two years in which I worked as a Peer Tutor, I helped a lot of Undergraduate students in all of the courses that I felt the most comfortable in, including Business Calculus, Calculus for the Biological Sciences, Geometry, Trigonometry, etc. I had many regular students during the course of the two years in which I worked as a tutor. I am currently a senior at Urbana University and will be graduating in may of 2013. Along side of being a full time student of mathematics I also play varsity baseball at the university and have received the scholar athlete award several times in my four years. Being a division 2 athlete has given me the best of both worlds I believe in that play on the field was competitive and forced me to become a leader but also helped in making me accell in the classroom as it is said the student always comes first in student athlete. My tudoring experience has delt mostly with college teammates not majoring in math but who are forced to take a math class to graduate.
