Environmental Journalist to help with reading and writing

I am an environmental reporter based in New York. My articles have appeared in New Scientist, Scientific American, Psychology Today, Popular Science, OnEarth Magazine and Smart Planet. I was also a copy editor with a large publishing house for two years where I used my spelling and grammar skills to fact check and proof read manuscripts. Italian tutor for all!

every student is different; as far as languages are concerned i believe people benefit more from actually speaking and listening, instead of learning a whole bunch of grammatical rules. those will come in time and a lot more naturally once you are confident with the words and their meaning.

Upon my decision to return to college and obtain my BS degree, it was discovered that I possessed an uncanny, natural talent involving all aspects of the studies surrounding English. Reading, comprehension, symbolism, poetry, creative writing, poise, maturitym ,ect. After that placement exam, it was decided that I did not have to take any English courses, or, I would take more advanced courses. I did choose the latter. Throughout the last 10 years, I have helped my husband, brother, all of my children, etc. I have tutored them on how to write a well developed paper on their topic of choice, and have it read showing the expertise of the writer.
