As I graduated from college with my California State Teaching Credential,I was able to teach 2nd grade for the Los Angeles City School District for three years. During that time I sought to gain as much experience and expertise as possible to prepare me for teaching in a school for missionary children overseas. Literally all my life I have been asked by students, parents and teachers to help students who were having trouble. I get tremendous fulfillment from watching someone who has been frustrated finally "get it." My first experience as a tutor was in my college tutor lab. I tutored both college level Math and Chemistry. I found that students I tutored found it easier to understand complex concepts when their individual needs could be addressed one on one. If a student does not understand a concept the first way I explain it we try again a different way, but if they do understand we can move on and not waste their time.
