A Little Bit About Me...

As both a teacher and a counselor I have worked to develop a teaching style that is student focused. In order to do that I want to inspire and challenge the student to reveal their abilities and interests and track them as they develop. The student and I will set specific goal areas with attainable steps, so that we can both check the progress. I was at the ITT Nashville and Draughons College campuses for 9+ years and School Chair of the CAD/MM department at ITT for 3 of those years. Although I have not formally been in the classroom since 1998, I regularly tutor my own children. While in college at MTSU, I was a substitute teacher in Rutherford County for 3 years, mainly substituting at Central Middle School.
