I like to connect with the children and really get them interested in the subject. I am laid back but I think I am really effective as a teacher/assistant. I have experience teaching and assisting children in Elementary School. I also have a BS degree in Biology and would love to tutor. I had a 3.0 GPA Undergraduate. I have worked in laboratories for the preious four years using my Biology degree in the Biomedical Field. I also worked as a Sitter in a hospital for a short time where I cared for disabled patients. But my main reasoning for going to college was not to learn how to but to become better and merge my self in the depths of art. I have recently retired after 30+ years as an elementary special and regular education teacher. For the past 15 years I have also worked as a tutor for the city of White Plains. I have done extensive private tutoring for the past 20 years. For 17 years I worked as an elementary special education classroom teacher at New York Hospital in an out-patient day treatment program. This program involved elementary school age children who displayed severe emotional and academic difficulties and were unable to function in a regular school setting.
