My philosophy of education is that all students can learn, and it is up to us as teachers to present materials in a way for their understanding. In the classroom with the use of differntiated instruction and tiered assignments I think this helps reach most learners. It's true that every student learns at a different pace with a different style. I like to see myself as a cameleon teacher, catering my format to individual needs. My style tends to be laid back so that students are comfortable expressing their likes and dislikes with me, curbing their fear of not understanding something. I love to use metaphors, pictures, examples and stories to illustrate the subject in a new and perhaps clearer way.
