My comments on tutoring Saxophone : I'm a clarinet player originally, which is very similar to saxophone. I also have a degree in music education.

I am a recent graduate of Jacksonville State University and hold a Bachelors degree in Music Education. I've been playing clarinet for about 12 years. I'm also certified by the state of Alabama in instrumental music education. I did my internship at Piedmont Middle School, Piedmont High School, and Kitty Stone Elementary School so I have had experience with students of all grade levels. I taught high school marching band camps and performed in a multitude of ensembles.

Saxophone is one of my top subjects! I am a Music Education major at the University of South Alabama with an instrumental concentration in the saxophone. I have been playing music for 15 years and performing for 11 years. I have performed in the Super Dome in New Orleans for a music festival, along with Bayfest and other musical events. I can play any saxophone and also teach them.

Saxophone is one of my top subjects! I can teach soprano, alto, and tenor saxophone beginner and intermediate players. I believe a "hands-on" approach is the best way to retain knowledge given all learning styles. If we do it, we will remember it. If learning is considered fun, we want to do it and all subject areas can have an element of fun. Positive reinforcement within a structured environment is my style of classroom management and it works. If a student knows what is expected, knows the consequences, and knows it will be consistent every time, problems decerase.
