18 years of graphic design experience and still loving it to this day. I graduated from the Art Institute back in 1996 and I've had 5 jobs since then. I understand the demands of clients when creativity is needed and revisions that come with change. I always put my best abilities on the table no matter how small or large the project or compensation. Creative, innovative, and interesting lessons are my forte. I am experienced in providing a constructivist-based approach to knowledge acquisition. Hands-on lesson promote student involvement and increase the development of student responsibility towards their education. I have found that a cross-curriculum approach to the material being presented fosters true understanding and relevance.
I am a student of history and believe that knowledge acquisition comes from interest and enthusiasm on the part of the learner. This interest comes from having an instructor who them selves is a learner. A partnership in the tasks being presented usually results in the student wanting to understand the information and making connections. To promote critical thinking I present the material in a global manner, allowing the learner to relate the information/skill to the real-world.
