A Little Bit About Me...

My goal as a teacher is to help children appreciate learning and have fun while doing. I beleive that we all learn in different ways and a person should use a learning strategy that works best for them. I am available to help your child succeed academically. I have had much experience working with children of all ages in the Education Field as a Primary Teacher for Head Start and CIS after school program. I know that this is what I have been called to do and I enjoy doing.
I have worked in the Education field for 9 years. I started off as a substitute teacher and later became a "permanent substitute" in 2002. In this same year, I also became a class monitor for Psycho-Edu with the Johnson Co. School System. These jobs both required me to help teach elementary students in every subject.

As a teacher of three years, math is my life. I enjoy teaching math and have completed a math degree at Georgia College and State University. I am almost finished with my Masters in Secondary Mathematics. I am familiar with all levels of Mathematics from Algebra to the higher level math courses.
I have learned that all students learn differently. I am patient and like to determine how the student learns first so I can better assist them. I have been tutoring Math since 2004 while attending college, and since I have graduated have been teaching in the public and private school setting. In 2005 I taught in the Richmond County School System for 2 years, and then taught in a group home until 2010. Throughout this time I have maintained a tutoring service that specializes in all levels of Mathematics.

A Little Bit About Me...

During my matriculation through college I have tutored students in various math and science subjects such as college algebra, trigonometry, calculus I & II, Physics, etc. I recently received a Bachelors in Mathematics at FVSU and in the process of obtaining my degree I have become well versed in many mathematical disciplines. I dont have any formal tutoring or teaching in English, Science, or Social Studies but I feel that I am competent enough from my collective studies from elementary school to college that I can assist in these subjects but Math is my specialty area.
