A Little Bit About Me...

I have a BA in Political Science with a concentration in American Government and minor in Philosophy from The Catholic University of America. During college, I worked at the Carbon County Courthouse in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania in Court Administration. I also worked as a Government Affairs Intern for the National Hydropower Association, a Congressional Intern for Representative Paul E. Kanjorski, and an intern for the Innocence Project of the National Capitol Region. Upon undergraduate graduation, I obtained an MS in Criminal Justice with a dual concentration in Federal Law Enforcement and Law Enforcement in Crime Intelligence Analysis from Saint Joseph's University. A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught high school in three different countries: Germany, UK and USA. I am passionate about foreign languages and social studies, and I care about my students. It is my intention to broaden their horizons and help them reach their potential as students and as human beings.
I believe in constructivism. Students learn more when they make their own learning. They need to see the real world application of the material and how it applies to them. As a recent graduate of Lock Haven University, I have obtained dual bachelor's degrees in both Accounting and Business Administration. Throughout the course of my college career, I have completed several accounting related projects including auditing cases, creating financial statements, etc. I have helped several students with accounting classes over the past four years, completed an accounting internship and am very educated in the subject.

I tutored college students primarily in the fundamentals of algebra and English composition. In 2005, I was awarded the Student Support Service Award for tutoring. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from King's College and went on to earn a Juris Doctor. In addition to social science courses, I have completed extensive general education courses throughout my college career.

I am a Penn State University graduate who is currently certified in Social Studies, Math and Family and Consumer Science. I am currently teaching FCS at Emmaus High School in Emmaus PA. I am also a part time online teacher for k12. I have been working as a part time social studies instructor for the Keystone School since September 2007.
