My teaching strategy can be summed up in two words: encouragement and enthusiasm. I believe that once I have given a student the tools to succeed, he or she can do so - with enough encouragement. I am currently tuoring at an Academic Development Center and Student Support Services as a psychology and math tutor. I love sharing my knowledge with others and at the same time, I learn and gain alot from my students. When students come in with questions, I will first ask them what subject is it for, does the teacher give out any guidelines about the assignment, and what difficulties you have with this assignment. If it is math problem, I'll do serveral problems step-by-step with my students. Then, I'll pick a problem that was similiar to the problem that we just worked with, and ask them to do it.
