A Little Bit About Me...

In Brazil, I was teaching Portuguese to a group of Canadians and two German girls. I just needed to quit the lessons because of my Exchange Program in the US (2011). Many people are interested in learning Portuguese due the World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016, both in Brazil. Also, they are hiring English teachers, since now Brazilians want to learn English to work in those games. It is a good opportunity if you want to go to Brazil.
I am a very communicative person and I like to encourage students to talk too...even if you are shy.It doesn't matter if you have no idea of how and what to say, practicing is the best tool and Im here to help you. My comments on tutoring Portuguese : I was born in Brazil and lived and taught there until 2006. Portuguese is my original language.

I have taught elementary and middle school in Brazil for over 11 years and pre-K for the past 11 years. In Brazil, Portuguese was a required course to teach like English is a required subject here in the United States. I love teaching and believe this is what I was meant to do. In Brazil, I also volunteered to teach adults in the evenings to read and write.
