My comments on tutoring Microsoft Office : Technically, I prefer Open Office, the free Office alternative, but the basics of operation and formatting are the same. Even if I don't know something related to your needs, I can help teach you how to help yourself find out. Any program you don't understand is only difficult and complicated because a user is either unwilling or doesn't have the time to get intimate with a program's workings.
I try to approach client's problems on a case by case nature: they have a particularly hard to write paper or a class that just isn't working for them, and I will try to work closely with them to find solutions.
I will not write a client's paper or perform any creative work for them, but I will edit or provide guidance as needed. While there are no shortcuts to an A, I will share what has worked for me and others in the real world.
I'm a recent college graduate from NC State, with a degree in Creative Writing. However, the CW course instilled in me knowledge in a variety of fields from film to philosophy, and as a requirement of modern education made me more than just fluent in the language of computers.
