Graduate student looking to help students achieve their goals!

I have tutored children off and on since I was in high school. More recently, my time has been spent volunteering with The Giving Tree, where I tutored inner-city children after school and helped organize activities (museums, zoo, etc.) on the weekends. I am currently in the final stages of my dissertation for a doctorate in psychology, so I am always actively learning, too. My aspirations are to become a professor in higher education upon acquiring my Ph.D..
I think teaching styles should differ based on the preferred learning style of the student. The teaching style should play on the strengths and preferences of that particular student. I enjoy teaching. There is something about the educational process, transfer of knowledge to students, that I have always found satisfying. While a graduate and undergraduate student, I've had the opportunity to teach at the University of Georgia. A Little Bit About Me...

I have an extensive experience in the field of tutoring. For the past eight years, I have work with students from age kindergarten to highschool. From one-on-one tutoring, small groups, to helping a class of more than 60 students.
