As a mother of 16 yr old twins, I have always been a tutor in reading, english and literature. I think it is more important to understand the student than to understand the material. Don't get me wrong - as a teacher I always re-educate myself to the material if need be - but I feel my real strength as an educator lies in finding a new way to teach the same concept. Last May I graduated from Skidmore College with a degree in history. My passion for history has been driven by my voracious appetite for knowledge.
