I love to learn, and love passing that on to others. I am a patient personality, and I may present a problem to a student to evaluate where they are. From there, we can go either backwards or to more advanced work. Education is very important for myself and for my children, and I like to instill that learning takes you further in life than where someone may have not even dreamed. I recognize that each student learns differently. It is important to me to assses the style that is best for the student. I will always differentiate the way I teach to the benefit of the pupil. If a student needs more visual aid and description, that is how I will teach them. If a different student needs manipulatives or prefers auditory lessons, I will provide that for them. I am a high school honors graduate with a BA in English and teacher certification in English, Spanish, psychology, and special education. I am national board certified in special education. I have tutored in Memphis, and have also taught learning strategies. I am retired and eager to find part time work.
I have worked with children of many different ages and backgrounds, and have learned something from each and every one of them.
