I try to find the teaching style that is going to work for the student. Are they visual? Do they need to touch to learn? Finding out how to teach them and then helping them learn skills for independent study are just as important as the material. Web manager and usability analyst as well as instructor. While in high school, I tutored another student for several months. On the California Achievement Test in Advanced Mathematics my score was 800. This qualified me for the advanced calculus course. In the third year of the course, things changed. We started from scratch, and learned point set topology as the basis for calculus.
