A Little Bit About Me...

The sense of achievement that can be seen on a child’s face after mastering the unknown is why I am passionate about teaching. I am flexible, understanding, and compassionate. I believe that surrounding the child in an environment that is conducive to learning is important. In addition, I believe it is important to teach multiple styles. For example, I like to make sure that my student has an opportunity to learn a lesson not only hands-on but also visually. I am a strong believer in the saying that, “Practice Makes Perfect.”
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice with minors in African American Studies and Sociology from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I believe that children possess the ability to learn anything, it just takes a good tutor to bring it out. I have had several educators make a large impact on my life and seen others impact the life of my learning-disabled brother. Learning has never come easily to him, but patient educators have helped him succeed. I am one of those patient educators.
