Summer Reading/English Tutor

Fun! I try my best to make tutoring sessions interactive and engaging so that kids enjoy learning. I pick topics, books, vocabulary that is interesting to the student, when possible.
I tutored two boys ages 6 and 9 in the areas of reading and spelling. I have been tutoring them on and off during the school year for the past 2 years. A Little Bit About Me...

While at Virginia Tech, I dedicated much of my time to volunteering. Here I fell in love with serving others. During this time, one of the programs I volunteered for was an after-school teaching program. Here, I tutored elementary-aged children in english, science, and math. I enjoy helping others learn!

A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from Union College in June of 2008 with a BS in Biology. Due to hard work and dedication, I received my BS in three years instead of four. I have been substitute teaching for almost a year for many different grade levels. As of recently, I have been tutoring students in mathematics.

Having been the top student in my senior class at Norfolk State University, I often assisted my classmates who had difficulties in writing papers.
