Because each student, young or old, responds to different learning stimuli (graphical or verbal) at diffrent rates, I always try to get to know my student first. I then try to tailor my tutoring to how they respond best and retain what they've learned. I believe in repetition and using examples that a student can relate to, and then testing the student's understanding of the subject matter.

I graduated with honors from MacMurray College, majoring in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Teacher Education. I gained certification through the State of Illinois and through ACSI. I have served in the educational setting for over 11 years. I have a vast background in special education and have worked with all kinds of disabilities and behavioral issues.
