I love what I do for a living. I love teaching and coaching and have always wanted to be a teacher. I believe all childeren can learn given the opportunity. I believe students have their own unique intelligences and learning styles. My role as a teacher/ coach is to identify those intelligences and styles and deliver subject's content using strategies that support those intellegeneces and styles. I also believe in helping students find the intrinsic motivation to work hard and not give up when subject matter is difficult.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been an educator for over 10 years. I have taught elementary for 5 years, high school for 2 years, tutored for 3 years and am currently working as a substitute teacher/tutor. During this time I have taught English, Science, Reading , Language Arts, History, Greek, Hebrew, Spanish, and Math. I currently tutor Math, Reading and English for students from Elementary to High School. I have tutored Algebra, Geometry and Pre-Algebra. My area of education and experience is working with students who are difficult learners, ADD, English is Second Language or struggling with a particular subject and helping them to reach their goals.
I believe all students can be successful given the right tools and resources. It is my job as a tutor to facilitate this success by developing techniques and strategies to meet the needs of the students learning style and goals.

I am very patient and outgoing with students, I try to gain a good understanding of where there are at in order to help them understand what is needed and how to achieve their goals. I strive to make a positive impact on my students lives in and out of the classroom.
I have always been driven to learn and pursue and education, this led me to completing my bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in history from UC- San Diego. I enjoyed tutoring math, science and english while in high school and continued in college. After graduating I volunteered in Chile teaching English which greatly improved my teaching skills and improved my Spanish Language abilities. I currently work as a substitute teacher which allows me to continue to gain teaching experience while I work towards a full credential
