My comments on tutoring Elementary Social Studies : I have worked with middle and upper grade students in Social Studies both as a classroom teacher and computer resource teacher for 30+ years. I incorporate reading comprehension, memorization, research and writing in my instruction of this subject.

I am an experienced and compassionate educator who worked within the Chicago Public School system at the same elementary school for 33 years. My comments on tutoring Elementary Social Studies : Students need to learn the various concentrated topics in Social Studies according to the Common Core State Standards.

I teach with a hands-on style. I incorporate various strategies based on the student's needs such as kinesthetic, visual, auditory, and a combination if needed. I observe and I assess student's strengths and weaknesses. Based on the information and results, I determine the correct strategy to use to help a student.
