Florida Certified Educator for Elementary to High School

I have a collaborative style of teaching. My ultimate goal is to get students to think, regardless of their age. With younger students, I tend to be much more directive so that we accomplish intended learning. With middle and high school students, I ask "Why" and "How do you know" quite often so that they learn to provide evidence for their thinking. Getting the RIGHT answer isn't the goal -- understanding and developing critical thinking processes are much more valuable!

As a college graduate, I was ready ti conquer the world with my BA in Communications, but once I begin to think about what I truly wanted to do with my life, I begin to also look into childcare. I begin at USAA Child Development Center for almost two years. I felt so comfortable with the kids and I relished in the fact of being able to mold their minds to learn their abc's and 123'. I knew right then, this is going to be my career. I went on to Hillsborough County Headstart program, where I taught 3-5 year old for almost two yearss as well.
