I excel at personal communication, and make it my first goal to find out how the student is going to learn the best. Whether it requires dancing, music, pictures, whatever it takes, once a student is comfortable they are far more likely to absorb information. This holds true for any age. With my bachelors degree in Business Administration, I have gained many skills. I have a great understanding of writing and reading, with experience in professional essays, research papers, and checking for grammatical errors. Over the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of providing child care for all ages of children, through which I have been able to teach and tutor the subjects they were learning in school at the time of care. My teaching style is a simple one: I use kindness with firmness and always attach a fun and tactile activity to make the learning memorable. My own learning style is more visual and hands-on, but I know that some children can learn by repetition and memorization, and if that's what works, then I'll adjust to fit that particular child's needs. I also use a reward system when agreed upon by the parent for when the child reaches small goals. I believe baby steps are what build confidence. I have earned a BS in Chemistry and a minor in Math. I am currently working as a chemist, so I have kept up with all the new studies that are taking place right now. I have tutored all through High School, College and thereafter. I have a real passion for learning math, all sciences, and history.
