Success comes to those who don't give up

I am currently a surgical RN. I have been working in surgery for about 7 yrs. I circulate, scrub, and assist surgeons in surgery. Prior to this I was a neuro trauma nurse for a big trauma hospital in Florida where I dealt with head, back, neck trauma and stroke and seizure patients. I am an Elementary Education Major at the University of Florida and have helped many students succeed in all subject areas, with a strong focus on Elementary Education. Some subjects that I particularly tutor in include: math, science, english, social studies, and language arts. I also supply a student with supplemental material I feel will help them learn better and at their own, individual pace. For instance, I believe that some students may learn better through visual exercises, and them others may learn through auditory (hearing) exercises. Either way, I try to figure out what a students learning style is and work on that with a student.

I have helped many family friends with school through out my years of school. I love to teach, I am actually thinking about going back to school to teach. I enjoy helping people find new ways to understand things. I have tutored about 10-15 people, mostly elementary school but I am willing to teach any age.
