My comments on tutoring Social Studies : I have a BA in Education with a minor in Social Studies.

I am a retired teacher with over 38 years of teaching both children and adults with diverse backgrounds. I have a BA and Masters degree in Education with an endorsement in ESL/Bilingual Education. I was a reading coach for 8 years where I taught teachers the best practices in teaching reading. I have taught every grade level and including college level. The last 4 years I have taught international students in an intensive English language program at a college level. My passion is teaching and want my students to be successful in whatever endeavors they take on in life.
I am passionate about teaching and have the patience, care and respect for all my students. I allow them to tell me their learning style that works best for them so they can be successful in their learning.

My comments on tutoring Social Studies : Have taken college level classes in World History and Government and covered most of the sub sets taught at High School level.

As a Graduate of Saginaw Valley State University, I have obtained a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry and Minors in Math and Biology. I have gained knowledge in most of the sub-sets on those subjects as well as High School or College entry level in most other academic subjects. I have tutored before as a volunteer, in paid sessions, and have often helped out friends at various educational levels.

My comments on tutoring Social Studies : I have my degree from Saginaw Valley State University in English and History. I have taught history classes before including American and World History. Within that I have had experience with Geography.

I have my teaching degree in English and History from Saginaw Valley State University and have done my student teaching at Skeels Christian Schools where my class sizes ranged from thirteen to six students. I am used to a more one-on-one teaching experience and have taught every grade in middle and high school.

As an older recent graduate I have experienced how hard it can be to get a bachelor degree and raise a family at the same time. To be committed to both made me who I am today. While working in these schools I have worked as director of a whole school Christmas program, MEAP coach instructor, after-school teacher, and have gone through a thirty-five hour training to learn and implement conscious discipline. My teaching style would be to find the student's primary learning style and converting the information he or she needs into a format that fits that learning style. Each subject would be made as visible or concrete as possible, so that the student could interact with the material on more than just a visual/conceptual level. Showing the student how the material can relate to real-life situations and opportunities would be a vital part of the instruction.

Even though I graduated with a degree in Business Adminstration I hav always enjoys tutoring. I have been tutoring my younger neices and nephews just because I enjoy so.
