I am currently completing my final year at Vanderbilt Law School. Over the past three years, I have taught a class and provided one-on-one tutoring for students preparing to take the LSAT. I also taught an upper level course while in grad school (it was in radio production). While I was in undergrad, I spent time tutoring elementary and middle school aged children over the internet. I have a passion for teaching and helping others. While getting my law degree (more on that below), I tutored math at all levels (K thru College Algebra) at Huntington Learning Center in Jackson, MS. I built a strong reputation at the Center for working really well with students, finding the right approach for each student, and getting great results. Calculus and Probability

Easygoing. Math is fun! I believe everyone has the ability to understand and apply math, or in other words, to be good at it. My general approach is to focus on the logical foundations of a given subject and then to exercise that knowledge on practical applications. Nearly everything you need to know is right there in your text! It just takes a careful and thorough reading of the material, much like any other subject.
I have zero formal teaching experience. However, I do have a great love for the beauty of math and a great interest in helping others reach their mathematic potential. I have spent a great deal of time with Calculus and Probability with a focus on detail and problem solving during the course of my actuarial studies, and my algebra skills are incidentally very good.
