I find it's best to get to know each child individually before picking a teaching style to use. Most of my students have been successful because I mold me tutoring plans around their individual needs
I have spent the last three year being a nanny and tutor for kids in a variety of age groups. For five years, I have tutored through the No Child Left Behind program and privately. I have tutored all subjects except science. I have tutored K-12 up to calculus. My professional background before tutoring was in banking, insurance claims, and healthcare administration. I love tutoring one on one and in small groups. I never wanted to be a teacher in a classroom. I think the joy of tutoring is watching students "get it."
