Also, in high school, I was always a level above in all English and composition classes. I like to challenge people to think outside of the box. I tutored a student for about 1 year in spelling. I helped him to understand the phonics of words and taught him how to sound the words out. His spelling was greatly improved after he had a better understanding of the phonics. I try to get my students to find the answer for themselves by asking them questions. Students need to come to an understanding of their material and that won't happen if I continually give them the answers. I'm also very patient with my students.
