Experience Summary
For the past 17 years I have had the pleasure working with K-3rd graders as a Volunteer Tutor, a Special Education Assistant in the Minneapolis, MN Public Schools, and a Supervisor/Teacher of a great organization that helps support mother's in the evenings, while helping to support their children, emotionally,socially and academically. I am also a Christian Education Teacher, to both women and children and I am still a volunteer. Overall, It has been very rewarding to teach over these years, learning insightful tips of different learning styles and techniques.
Teaching Style
I am capable of inspiring learning in children, and intuitively know how to redirect, de-escalate behaviors to achieve a healthy and safe environment. My desire is to foster a positive , calm and creative learning environment for students, allowing each one to draw upon their own skills and motivation to learn. I believe my patience and positive outlook give students the confidence to succeed.
My Hobbies
My hobbies include singing out loud, creative dancing, scrabble and connect four games, theater, musical/plays and symphonies.
