The summer I was a camp counselor I knew that I wanted to make a difference in children's lives. At that point, I decided to complete my BS in Kinesiology and then pursue an MA in Education. Upon graduation, I was employed by Detroit Public Schools teaching low income, bilingual children. I have predominantly taught second grade but have also tutored and taught summer school to first and third graders. I also received certification in Accelerated Reader and Accelerated Math programs.
The key to educating children is to instill in them a lifelong passion for learning. Every day I try to do that with my students.
