I have discovered over the past year of substituting that I absolutely love teaching. Students are very comfortable with me as I am a very positive, friendly person who smiles a lot. I am very much focused on teaching concepts and then ensuring that practical examples are worked to make sure the concepts are understood and applied. My style is to emphasize understanding the underlying concepts and logic that drive the subject matter. Once understood I like to use exercises and problems to apply these concepts and make sured how they are applied is well understood and the student can arrive at correct solutions. I have been a senior financial and operating executive for the past 40 years in a variety of industries. I have also taught Finance at the MBA level at Frostburg State College, MBA program. I am very knowledgeable in Accounting, finance, economics, math, history, various business topics including marketing. I have been certified to tutor over 15 subjects bu another tutoring service.
