I have more than three decades of experience managing and working in marketing, PR, communications, the web, and media relations. I am a qualified teacher originally from Australia now living in Modesto. I am a graduate from the University of Tasmania in Launceston, Australia. I have taught the 6th grade for 6 years in Australia and I also taught in a high school in London. I have also worked as a private tutor for students from the 3rd through to the 9th grade. I believe in individualized teaching. In my sixth grade classroom, I individualized instruction wherever possible. In reading I tested my students and placed them in books at their reading level. I had them write reading summaries and corrected their first drafts. In sixth weeks, I retested and in most instances moved students to a higher level. In my math classes, I tested students and had them begin at the level that they needed to master. If a student could not add, I had him work on his addition skills. I moved students to the next skill level once they had mastered the level that they were working on. Of course, I did group teaching in my classroom, but I individualized wherever possible.

As a recent college graduate with a BA in Spanish and a BA in International Affairs, I possess current experiences from my studies in the United States, Europe and South America. Since attending college in Spain and Argentina I understand word usage and vocabulary differences within the Spanish language.
